Retriever is a cloud-based service that streamlines the process of collecting IT assets from remote employees. It automates the return process, helping IT teams ensure devices are safely and efficiently returned, reducing the risk of data loss and asset mismanagement. Retriever handles the logistics of shipping return boxes, tracking shipments, and ensuring timely asset recovery, making it particularly useful for remote or terminated employees.

Teqtivity + Retriever provides live updates on both outbound and inbound shipments, giving IT teams complete visibility into the status of each return. This integration also populates the termination report with real-time Retriever status data, ensuring all assets are accounted for.
The integration helps mitigate the risk of lost or stolen devices containing sensitive data by ensuring secure asset returns. It also reduces costs by enabling the reuse of returned assets, eliminating the need for replacements.
Teqtivity pulls termination dates from HR and generates a termination report listing the assets that need to be collected, simplifying the tracking of devices (e.g., laptops, monitors) that need to be returned.
IT teams can initiate a Retriever return order directly from Teqtivity for each terminated employee. The IT technician enters the employee’s details (name, email, address) to initiate the return process without switching between platforms. Retriever then ships a box to the employee with a return label. If needed, IT can specifically request the return of a charger and/or mobile device when placing the order.
The padded laptop box fits most laptops up to 16”, a cell phone, and a charger (or other charger-sized accessories) in the accessories tray.
The monitor return box fits most 23-27” monitors with the stand and cables, as long as the stand separates into two parts (arm and base).
The Retriever integration allows IT teams to track the status of the return shipments, both outbound (to the employee) and inbound (back to the employer). With integrated shipping APIs, teams can get real-time updates on the status of the box and device.
